At Hazel Grove Pre-School we recognise that a child’s first teachers are their parents and carers and we therefore value strong links between Home and Pre-School. Before your child starts with us we offer a number of ‘settling in sessions’ to so that your child feels happy and safe in our care.
All children attending Hazel Grove Pre-School have a personal online ‘Learning Journey’ where we share photos, observations and comments relating to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This enables us to build up a record of each child’s learning and achievements during their time with us. The online system we use is called SeeSaw.
Parents and carers can also add photos, observations and comments about the learning you have seen outside of Pre-School. This can help us to personalise your child’s provision at Pre-School by tapping into their interests and encouraging new experiences.
Alongside SeeSaw each child has a Wow Work Book which contain drawings, art work and writing.
In addition to verbal feedback at the end of each day, we also hold Parents’ Evenings twice a year.
