Joining Hazel Grove Primary School
We understand that starting school is a significant moment for you and your family. We will do everything we can to ensure your child gets off to a flying start with us.
We take our responsibility for your child’s personal and academic development seriously. We value strong home-school links and recognise the positive difference they make to a child’s happiness and success.
Before starting with us, we will be holding a series of induction events in the Summer term for our parents, carers and of course for the children themselves ahead of them starting Reception in September.
Until then, we hope you find the information provided on our website useful to begin to get a flavour of life at Hazel Grove Primary School.
Travel to School
We encourage Hazel Grove Primary School pupils to walk, scoot or cycle to and from school. For more information about the benefits of cycling and how to ride safely, please visit: Getting to school – Stockport Council. Children’s bikes and scooters can be stored on site during the school day.
Parents and carers should ensure their child’s scooter/bike is roadworthy, and that they are wearing suitable safety accessories and a helmet. Pupils should always follow The Highway Code.
