Despite the chilly weather outside, local toddlers and their families braved the cold to visit Hazel Grove Library this morning for a special Story Time with a guest reader.

Our very own Adam Hossen, Head of Hazel Grove Primary School, joined the session, sharing much-loved stories and bringing plenty of smiles to the young listeners gathered on the carpet.

Inside the library, the atmosphere was anything but cold. Stories, songs, laughter, and curiosity filled the room – creating a warm and welcoming space for children to enjoy the magic of books together.

The visit celebrated the joy of reading and highlighted the importance of early storytelling in sparking imagination, building confidence, and nurturing a lifelong love of books.

Reflecting on the visit, Mr Hossen said:

“Being part of our fantastic local community is incredibly important to us, and coming along to the library to share stories with these fabulous young children is just a brilliant way to start the year. Seeing their clear enthusiasm for books reminds us just how powerful storytelling can be.”
